About NITS Polytechnic

NITS Polytechnic is a premier institution of technical education in Jammu, with a rich legacy of excellence and service spanning over four decades. The institute was established in the year 1984 by Sh. Savinder Gupta, an alumnus of the prestigious Birla Institute of Technology and Science Pilani, with a vision to create a center of quality technical learning accessible to all sections of society.

Notably, NITS Polytechnic holds the distinction of being the first private technical institute in Jammu and Kashmir, marking a significant milestone in the region’s educational development.

The institution is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), recognized by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir, and affiliated with the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Technical Education (JKBOTE). These recognitions reflect the institute’s commitment to maintaining high academic standards and delivering quality education in line with national and state regulatory frameworks.
